IMO the AM90 is the perfect shoe to introduce non-sneakerheads to Air Maxes. Structured enough to look solid, nothing odd (like the misplaced swoosh on the 1), and crazy enough to turn heads. The color blocking is A1. AM90’s were like the first ‘retro’ Air Max that I really went ham for. I don’t know that I ever saw Air Maxes before the 97’s (grew up in the mountains)...so I don’t have much of a frame of reference for when they first dropped, but they really hit my radar in probably 2003
