These are the types of headlines that makes me think the whole ‘capitalist’ idea is completely a sham…like…one dude…ONE DUDE…clearly off his meds…clearly trying to stir up some sh*t…clearly out of his mind…somehow has the ability to shift the sneaker markets by hundreds of millions of dollars with a handful of (really sh*tty) statements.The amount of money Adidas claims this dude 'LOST' is more than some island nations GDP. Absurd.
Thing is…I’ve been finding myself a bit disgusted by Nike and their dirty marketing tricks, lately. So I’ve been paying a *bit* more attention to Adidas…not their releases…but more like their culture…and they have more of a globally inclusive culture than Nike seems to have…so…I guess…if I were to be able to ask them anything…I’d start with: How in the hell do you let ONE MAN cause THIS MUCH HAVOC TO YOUR BRAND? IMO, Adidas is going to be fine, but a half a billion and literal tons of 'unsellable stock?' How can they not figure out what to do with this stuff?
I don’t know exactly what would have happened if Nike were on the business end of this debacle, but I’d venture to say that there is NO WAY IN HELL NIKE WOULD HAVE LET THIS TRANSPIRE THE WAY IT HAS TRANSPIRED. Would they?
