Biggest difference between NBA shoes from the 90’s and NBA shoes today? The swoosh (the actual logo).
Back in the day the swoosh was an afterthought - tastefully put where it could fit…now it seems that everything revolves around the swoosh. Individual nuances and logos are placed in nearly hidden places.
If Nike focused more on the signature athlete and their individual, unique logos - would these shoes be more respected by collectors in the sneaker community?
Imo…at this point, pretty much every Nike NBA shoe built around a massive swoosh bored the hell out of me….
