(2/2) After taking in the scene for a few hours, I struck up a conversation with some dude sitting next to me on the benches - also taking a rest. A few minutes into the conversation, I realized it was someone I knew and we ended up having a GREAT conversation. We decided to take a lap and ended up posted up by the entrance, where dude introduced me to @m.tomamichel from @corporategotem and the conversation continued being great. At one point in the conversation, I looked up, and saw @matthewjwelty chillin a few feet away from us, by himself… 
 
Without thinking, I pulled out 3 packs of cards, stepped up and said ‘Mr. Welty - how’s I goin man? Don’t mean to jump all in your face but I been wanting to share my sneaker cards with you.’ He seemed a bit surprised, but he was gracious, took the packs and said ‘oh, thanks.’ I could tell he looked tired so I said ‘Sorry, I’m not normally the type to get in anyone’s face but I saw you here and had to. How are you doing? This whole thing is overwhelming, huh?’ We had a brief conversation about how he takes breaks throughout the day because it IS overwhelming and I appreciated hearing that, because, I also need those breaks. We didn’t touch on anything other than our basic need for recharging in hectic situations; which, to me, was an authentic conversation. We didn’t share a single word about sneakers or Complex or…anything else. Shouts to @m.tomamichel for the pic above) 
 
A minute or so later, @brendandunne walks up and is looking at the card packs in Welty’s hand so I handed him 3 and gave him the same spiel - ‘hey Mr. Dunne I make sneaker cards and I’ve been trying to get them to you for a while now too’. I also noticed he had an old red & black Nike box in his bag and I saw the label - some AF1 Mid’s - to which I enquired about - ‘are those jewels?’ To which he replied ‘no, but they are some gems, they’re mushrooms’. I told him about the old jewels I bought and sole swapped from @digglahh and that was that. I didn’t want to impose so I thanked them for their time and stepped back.  
 
Anyway. Nothing all that special here. Only thing if I’m able to share a bit of my creative passion - I’m stoked…
