Semi-serious question brought up by this @nickdepaula tweet - do any of the majors care that one of the most dominant players in the league right now signed with another brand?
Pretty sure whoever owns rights to the jerseys (right now it’s Nike) provides the non-sig sneaker guys with free shoes and a lot of them have their own logos…Jokic’s logo, imo, being one of the better ones I’ve seen, so he’s been wearing Nikes for a while…
Makes me think, tho, if Nike ever even had any intention of bringing him a sig. and if they did - Why didn’t it work out? And if they didn’t - why not?
Does Jokic think Nikes shoes suck and spurned them? Or does Nike think Jokic is an oaf who won’t move the needle for on-court consumers?
Anyone know how this all works and want to clue me in?
Makes me think of the time Nike kinda bungled their appointment with @stephencurry30 and that triggered his massive move to @underarmour , even if this is not the same situation….
