Knee jerk reaction is ‘yea all of these shoes are wack’ but on second thought - I kinda like it. I think it’s good when new models come out…or old models get re-introduced…even if Nike seemingly has to release them with Supreme to give them massive amounts of (free-ish) attention…
I first thought this when they dropped the Air Max 98…what was once a sneakerheads sneaker, the Supreme release kicked off a never ending parade of colorways over the years. Not sure if this is because of the success of that collab or not, but..timing. And I love that there are a ton of GR 98 colorways available, which I kinda attribute to the Supreme drop. And the tailwind IV. Possibly the upcoming clogposite?
IMO…it’s probably pretty cool for designers at Supreme to work on the shoes and even cooler (for us) that a lot of them aren’t seeing massive resale.
Anyway…what do yall think? Are supreme x Nike collabs dead? Or should they keep reintroducing new models through this marketing channel?
