Here’s a dumb SB anecdote: When the ‘White/Classic Green’ Dunk SB first dropped in 2004 - EVERY SINGLE PERSON that knew about SB’s was calling it the ‘St. Patty’s Day Dunk’. No lie. EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING WHO KNOWS ABOUT SBs. I SWEAR.

For nearly 20 years, SB heads were calling that ‘White/Classic Green’ Dunk SB the ’St. Patty’s Day Dunk SB’. And then, in 2023, Nike SB decided to release a dunk that is now hitherto referred to as the ‘St. Patrick’s Day Dunk SB’, and it’s a completely different shoe.

So when @sonsofblackmaria and I were creating the card and I put ‘St. Patty’s Day’ dunk on the checklist - I had the ‘White/Classic Green’ pair in my mind while Sons had the Green, Gold and Gum pair in mind.

Can Nike SB rewrite their own history? Should I start referring to the 2004 pair as the White/Classic Greens? Or should I keep calling them the ‘St. Patty’s Day Dunks’ and the new ones the ‘St. Patrick’s Day Dunks’?

Anyway...Happy St. Patty's Day...er...St. Patrick's Day? I'ma go with St. Patty's Day.
