Not sure if true, but if so it appears that the only thing that can destroy ‘unbreakable’ NFTs really is just good old fashioned greed.
For the uninformed - people (including myself) spent thousands of dollars to get exclusive access to these shoes and had to jump through hoops in order to pre-order them at a premium price (around $265) with the promise of exclusivity.
News broke today (or last night) that pairs would be available on the SNKRS app in the near future, thereby giving no discernible reason for anyone to trust Nike or RTFKT on their ‘trustless’ NFT system again…
Quantity numbers for each of these were already published - it appears as they are bs as of this moment.
At first I didn’t really care…and…I dunno…still kinda don’t. Shoes are shoes…I’m gonna wear what I’m gonna wear regardless of who else gets em. But how is it that the world’s biggest clothing company can get away with promising one thing and delivering another? If I were @sneakerlegal I’d be looking at firing up a class action lawsuit…

Is it as bad as what @divisionst did with those air max 1 Ducks of a Feather tho?
