I *love* this silhouette. So many stories…but I’ll just tell one:
In 2000, Nike had a policy that basically was ‘if you send us your defective Nike shoes we will replace them with the same pair or a newer version of the same shoe.’
A coworker I had was tossing his air max pluses cuz the bubbles popped and I asked him if I could take them…which is what I send into Nike.
They didn’t send me a pair of pluses, but they sent me some Tailwind 5’s instead, and, because they weren’t my size - I sold them to a friend for $60. That was a come up in 2000.
Anyway, I wish they did a few more colorways of these…but I’ll settle for what I ended up with (this pair and the green pair).
I love it when Nike retro’s super obscure models…when can we see retros of the whole air max plus line @nike ??
