Last weeks question (‘Lebron vs. Ye’) seemed to fall in favor of Ye (in this context), but this time I think it might be a bit closer… I brought some receipts…see the second slide…I know that money isn’t everything but the average price differential between these two is staggering…
I know the chatgpt numbers on the second page are likely off…but it says travis has 28 diff Nike models with a ‘lowest ask’ value of $50k+…around $1750 per shoe.
Ye, on the other hand…146 different models at lowest ask value of $53780…average of $370 per shoe.
$1750 vs. $370 in FAVOR of Travis. If we assume these numbers are WAY off…Trav still comes out ahead…
Obviously, Ye shows us what can exist IRL outside of the imagination…Yeezys designs pushed the genre years into the future…Trav showed us what can exist inside strict Nike boundarie…Trav showing us what we can do with what we have…crazy if these numbers are even remotely accurate…but I’m not so sure.
Thoughts? Let’s argue!
