I think I have like around 7 or 8 pairs of footscape wovens and every single pair has the sole on the bottom (the ‘chukka’ sole). I’ve owned plenty of pairs that have the sole up top, but none of them made the cut over the years…And it wasn’t a conscious choice or anything…just…they never made the cut.
Why?
I know the chukka sole isn’t like super ‘free’ or even a very good showing in the ‘free’ line…I don’t think k it’s even a ‘free’ sole but it feels like one. And it definitely feels ‘free-er’ than the original tooling. I’m obviously a huge fan of almost all of the Nike ‘Free’ tooling - I wish they’d bring it back and experiment a bit more with it…
But I do feel undereducated on the difference in soles in footscapes cuz I mostly consider the chukka sole the ‘original’ knowing full well it’s not. I know I am wrong but WHY am I wrong @sdubl and @joerdan23tn ?
