Saw a pic of some new @dbook PE 1’s floating around and thought ‘hmmm, these have been around for about a year now’…looked it up and saw an article dated 12/7/23 (a year ago yesterday). I’ve got that internal clock rollin’ yo!
No but I guess I was thinking back on the Book 1 and all the crap that was going on when it first released and…for a year in…how did it do?
First colorway that released was @$$ imo…the orange pair…and most of the GRs that have released were also kinda @$$…just too tame for the times… but a lot of those PEs were dope imo. I DON’T think of this shoe when I think of Nike athletes but I think it does have a nice place in the lifestyle line.
Anyway, was the initial brouhaha around the time it was first announced actually warranted? Or was that just another case of internet fanaticism?
