A few years back, on IG, I said something along the lines of ‘if Nike scrapped the KD line, would anyone care?’ And it got like 50 comments all saying kinda noncommittally like ‘probably not’ and then one guy came in and fought like hell to keep it…it was almost like the guy thought I had the power to scrap the KD line and he was KDs number one fan (maybe his burner?)…I’ll never forget the passion of that dude cuz he was adamant that the KD line should NEVER be scrapped short of absolute catastrophe.
Whatever has gone on since then…I do find the last 3 models to be - at the very least - interesting. I feel like we haven’t seen any other model that takes such frivolous ‘inspiration’ from other models…which…is…actually pretty cool imo. It feels like they kinda ran out of ideas and then said ‘well, why not?’
I guess the real question I want to ask is - does anyone that wears KDs (besides YOU, KD, 😂 ) actually live in our little corner of the sneakerhead world? Because I see a bunch of blogs talking about the KDs but I don’t feel like I ever see any on-foot’s nor anyone actually talking about them…maybe I’m just stuck in a different corner of sneaker IG where I’m fed 498975 posts showing last weeks ‘hottest’ release mixed in with some big booties but nothing about new models…what am I missing here?
