As of this date, only one person I know has run a dedicated ‘air maxes for the whole month’ challenge (s/o @bgkicks ), so I guess I just haven’t seen much talk of air maxes and am wondering what happened?
For the past few years we’ve gotten new models, old models re-released, new tech and a never ending stream of marketing and images…WTF happened this year, tho? We got, simply, a new colorway of The DN8 for air max day? ONE SINGLE NEW COLORWAY OF A SHOE THAT RELEASED LIKE A MONTH AND A HALF AGO?
I mean, sure, that donkey Kong poly thing…released through dot swoosh. And…another ducks of a feather (vultures) release through GOAT…why is the brand divesting?
Is Nike just tryna give us a break? Are they focused on trying to revamp their reputation after such poor performance in the market? Has the air max line suffered during air max month or is the juice no longer worth the squeeze?
Is this a sign of things to come or an aberration? I need answers chat.
