(2/2) Samples or Fakes cont'd... When I got home, I snapped a couple of pics and sent them over to my legit check partners and I got a response pretty quickly - ‘likely fake - they only released 4 colorways and this wasn’t one of them’. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I found an article from @sneakernews back in May of 2018 with more than 5 collab pairs that were set to be released, and this pair was definitely on the release page, but I still couldn’t find any other substantial info online.. Usually that’s a bad sign. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Lastly, I pulled out a real pair of React 87s I had been wearing over the past few weeks and compared them side by side...the stitching patterns made it painfully obvious that I was holding a fake pair of @undercover x @nike React 87’s - ⁣⁣ 1. The toe stripe - The pair I bought directly from Nike has much sharper cuts on the toe stripe.⁣⁣ 2. The heel logo strip - Take a look at the size and stitching of each flap. The authentic pair has a longer and leaner strap. ⁣⁣ (swipe for second batch of pics)⁣ 3. The ankle collar was significantly different than the authentic pair⁣⁣ 4. The stitch pattern on the heel cage was also significantly different than the authentic pair⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Overall - I spend a great deal of time looking at details when I am authenticating and grading. Otherwise, I just like the way shoes look. I promptly returned them for a full refund. Exciting!⁣⁣
