The Sneaker Savant

I woke up this morning on some sort of bullsh*t. I don’t know why but it was super difficult for me to wake up and everything was just annoying me. On my regular commute this morning I felt like everyone was trying to get one over on me...one dude was trying to cut me off, another one was on my a$$. This one was going too fast, this one was going too slow and...I dunno...everything just felt wrong. Remember, as a driver, we ll look at the world in an almost binary way: someone driving faster than me = a$$hole, someone driving slower than me = idiot. ⁣

So anyway, I got to my sons school and was immediately annoyed when the teacher told me he needed a few more minutes to get ready before I could leave. And then when I got to my school the mood continued. I was a minute late and my first period was pretty lively. A few of my students were being rude and I started barking at them. Clearly not a good look for anyone, let alone a teacher.⁣ In short, I was being a jerk.

Halfway through my morning, I took a trip to the employee lounge, opened my phone, and came across this clip. I watched the first 45 seconds before I forgot all about my morning...this clip brought me back to reality. No one was trying to ruin my morning. No one was out to get me. I’m the architect of my happiness, although sometimes I’d like to put that off on others. ⁣
