The first eBay commercial I remember really hit me kinda hard. I’m an emotional dude, and seeing this whole thing play out made me long for yesteryear. Whoever this marketing agency was - they told an INCREDIBLE story in 60 seconds. Just so many feels, man. I don’t remember when this came out, nor do I remember what I was thinking of at the time, but I remember thinking...god...damn...that was perfect. ⁣

1987 Topps cards came to mind, and the He-Man and GI Joes I had in my parents basement hit me. And the skateboards and the magazines and the sports cards and the comic books and the video games...it was all there. In my memory. The power of nostalgia, sheesh. ⁣

As I told y’all earlier - my first eBay purchase was something that had some serious semblance of nostalgia for me - it reminded me of being a kid - and I’ll detail in my next post. Since then - I’d say eBay has been my PRIMARY source for digging up nostalgia. I look up stuff from my childhood ALL the time on there and am constantly amazed at the neverending string of crap I thought was lost to the sands of time. ⁣

I also got my parents addicted to ‘the power of us all’ - my dad began collecting old amplifiers. My mom has always been a collector of stuff and she’s dwarfed my eBay score in a quarter of the time. ⁣

Anyway...shoes have this same nostalgia to so many of us. If you could reach back into time - what would you ‘rediscover’?⁣
