Another week or so and I’m watching every single release on the Topps site...coppin every single one. Still trying to piece together my set. I had orders out on every single card in the set except 3 (I’m STILL looking for those 3!)⁣ ⁣ I knew it’d be a while before I received anything, but then a funny thing happened. The prices jumped leaps and bounds. Like stupid numbers. A card I bought two days ago for $20 was suddenly selling on the Bay for $350. Some asshole who I bought an Ermsy Ichiro for at $30 cancelled the sale at the last minute because the price jumped a good 5x (blakdog42 on eBay). So I sucked it up and bought another one from someone else at $130. Another asshole cancelled 3 cards I ordered from him on Mercari (@mattprosia on Mercari) - Thomas Rochester, Jeter Saladeen, Clemente Grotesk - at $55 for the bundle. Everyone else followed through, though. It took more than 6 weeks for me to get the last cards I ordered from eBay…⁣ ⁣ The market exploded unlike anything I’ve ever seen before - some dude on @medium wrote an article claiming some people had seen 9,000% gains in 3 months. Absurd.
