Could you imagine being a grown man telling - not asking - but TELLING another grown man what to do with their lives? These are grown men on IG telling other grown men to ‘stick to sneakers’. Keep in mind - these guys CAME to a SNEAKER account to say ‘stick to sneakers’. 😂  
 
Obviously, I’ve been posting a lot about cards...mostly exploratory posts trying to bridge the gap between collectibles. When it comes to my ‘sneaker grading’ system I set up and the sneaker cards I created, I’ve always been interested in the *collectibility* of non-wearable shoes (ie: the vintage and super rare or exclusive). I’m not really a collector of the rarest, but when I see some pairs my mind instantaneously goes to ‘these should be preserved for as long as possible.’  
 
Anyway, I’ve got all these card people coming onto my sneaker-related posts complaining about sneakerheads...Sounds like we mighta found the people buying those overpriced ‘Luka’s mom’ cards...  
 
Again - I don’t know much about the card market. Nor do I really care. I find it interesting. I know what it was 25 years ago. And I lost most interest in it when I realized it was little more than a shameless money grab...and that’s kind of what’s happened with the sneaker market...a shameless money grab. That’s fine, though, that’s how things go. 
 
For the past 6 years I’ve been trying to apply some of the same concepts to the sneaker market. Don’t get me wrong - I am still FULLY still interested in what I’M interested in - and that’s not-hyped shoes and preserving the past and telling my stories through cards or IG - but you better believe I’m not going to let the wave of flippers ruin the things I care about… 
 
Anyway, just a PSA (pun intended) - when the flippers come for your hobby - protect yourself and the sector of the hobby you care about. Don’t waste your time complaining - there’s no way you’re gonna stop it. Flippers are about to ravage the card market like a band of locusts.
