No sound because of recent developments to my IG account (restricted? I’m SHOOK)...but... 
 
Wanna hear something crazy? So y’all know I built this Kobe card set (#824pack) and could reasonably name 20 of his ~25 signature models when I started. I wasn’t all that sure of his Player Exclusive colorways. I hadn’t even known that this pair was an actual PE until I researched it and I made the actual card... 
 
A few weeks ago I saw Vanessa Bryant post a few pics of some game-worn Kobe shoes, including his first pair of game-worn Adidas. I figured she must’ve been getting rid of some of his stuff so I searched my auction resources and saw a pair of white/purple/gold Hyperdunk 2k4’s in a size 14 (Kobe’s size). I sent a pic of the tag to my homie at Nike. I asked him ‘are these what I think they are?’ He said ‘Yep - and the only way I can tell you it’s true is the production codes - the dates are VERY important’. I sat back, bided my time, and bid slightly more than I had bid on any other shoe in the past. And I lost. The pair I bid on was slightly yellowed, but it was no doubt an actual Player Exclusive MADE for Kobe himself. And I was kicking myself for not bidding more. 
 
A week or so later, I came across these. I recognized them instantly from the card I created...and when I saw the tag - size 14 - and the number 8 embroidered on the strap - I knew they were what I hoped they were. So I sent the same question to my Nike contact. He verified. I watched the auction, set every timer in my apartment and bid more than double the last amount. I won. I paid MORE for this pair of shoes than I have for any other pair of shoes in my history of being a collector...and you know what? EASILY worth it.  
 
I now own a pair of game worn shoes that can be traced back to Kobe Bryant and the actual game that he wore them in. I know that’s nothing for a handful of collectors (@xinjie @pevault @solesupreme @dependablejay) but for me - it’s a pretty big deal.  
 
I made the card, they pop up after 15 years and now I got them currently displayed in a #tssgrailbox...I’d like to think I willed these into my possession.
