The Sneaker Savant

Not sure if you heard, but Kanye West was on Joe Rogan the other day. Not sure if you understand why that’s a bit of a big deal, but the numbers that these guys put up are staggering. We all know that Kanye West has become a household name - my mom even knows who he is. And if you aren’t familiar with Rogan - I once looked up the impact that Joe Rogan’s podcast has and it’s pretty wild. Last I looked (2-3 years ago) he was pulling in more than 100 MILLION downloads a month. That’s more than a BILLION downloads a year. Think about that...a BILLION downloads a year...to listen to him interview people and sometimes talk about dick and fart jokes for 2-3 hours at a time.

Anyway...I saw ‘Ye was gonna be on Rogan and I talked with my friends and I really wanted to just clip a segment and use it as a post to just clown and talk sh!t about how crazy this dude has become.

But a funny thing happened. I tried hard to find a ridiculous statement - but almost everything he said made sense IN CONTEXT.

The thing about being a high school teacher is that you have to listen. You have to hear people. And for whatever reason...even though I wanted to...I really didn’t hear anything all that crazy. I mean, sure, the ‘I’m the anointed one’ is ludicrous. And the god talk is something I’ve heard a thousand times before. But other than that...I just didn’t hear anything all that wild.

I mean...other than the fact that ‘Ye said the Yeezy Foam Runners were ergonomic. WTF is this dude talking about?
