The magic of the internet... 24-year old mystery solved in 2 days through the power of the Instagrams!     Context in history:  ➊ 2pac dies in 1996.   ➋ 2pac loyalists claim he’s still alive because he’s seen wearing ‘The Nike Penny II’ in a video (yet the shoe was not set to come out for another 6 months).     48 hour timeline:   ➌ Sneaker x 2pac loyalist @thesneakersavant watches and screenshots said video - proclaims those shoes are not Penny II’s and has no idea what they are.  ➍ @thesneakersavant posts about it. Gets several guesses...the only one that seems real plausible is that they’re K-Swiss CMFs, guessed by @eatlikeyoureondeathrow__ and @krockett_ _   ➎ @kingjamesthefifth sends @thesneakersavant a VERY clear screenshot of the shoes, plus another angle that clearly shows a strap. We are befuddled.     In another corner of the internet:  ➏ @og__bar posts a pic of the ‘Nike Air Flight 74’ from 1996 nearly a month ago. @bubblekoppe reposts the following day. @jrkicks2077 does a bit of research, sees my post, goes digging back through @bubblekoppe’s posts, finds the shoe and DMs me a pic (thank you for the heads up @jrkicks2077)  ➐ I hit up @og__bar and buy the last known pair of the Air Flight 74 on the internet. I probably overpaid but whatever. It’s not every day someone helps you debunk a 25 year old sneaker conspiracy.   ➑ The greatest conspiracy in the HISTORY OF THE INTERNET has been debunked. By us.    What’s funny is...I follow @bubblekoppe and didn’t even put 2 and 2 together. Pretty sure I scrolled right on past these. I didn’t even register that that could be the same shoe. Comparing the pics, though, it’s DEFINITELY the same shoe.
