I’m sure I’ll lose a few followers over this one and I’ll probably lose the respect of some of the big followers that absolutely LOVE this shoe, but the ‘Air Ship’ just doesn’t interest me. Like not even in the least. I’m sorry.
Sure, it’s cool to know that they fooled us once/twice/three times (and every time they release another “Banned” Jordan 1), and it’s super cool to know that someone actually uncovered the actual (real) story and campaigned JB to re-write it (s/o to @mjo23dan), but I’m just not a fan of the silhouette. They look hella clunky to me. And the leather looks like pure plastic. It really just reminds me of that Jordan 1.5 retro they released a few years back - excitement then disappointment when you saw the midsole...they went from like $600 to $45 based on the midsole alone (when in the hell did they reach $200? I passed on hundreds of pairs of these at $40). But for the ships...I just could not picture myself wearing these...ever.
Again - I respect the history and the story, but I’m just not a fan of the shoe...and all the pics I’ve seen make it look like it’s got that plastic leather that you only find on Mids.
