The first time I ever heard of the term ‘Friends & Family’ in relation to sneakers was when I heard about @123dortiz ’s Air Max 90’s. It was reported on multiple blogs that the F&F version of that shoe was limited to 24 pairs. And, I’m not totally sure how it works, but I’m sure they just asked Dave which sizes he wanted and he gave them a list...maybe he can confirm? These early SBs - FLOMs, Iron Maidens, Alphanumerics, etc. were all supposedly released in batches of 24 pairs as well? Do you think there are more than 24 pairs of those early Dunk SBs out there?  
 
If you scroll through the comments on that TS x PS x Nike Dunk post (‘early pairs bro’), you’ll notice more than one person saying something like ‘you don’t really believe there are only 5 pairs do you?’  
 
Yes, in a way, I do. I believe that there are only 5 AUTHENTICATEABLE (is that a word) pairs out there. Is Nike going to make a few more extra pairs for Travis and Kylie and Travis’ domestic road managers little sisters best friends teacher? Most likely. But how can ANYONE verify those as being legit? Why wouldn’t a fake manufacturer (or 10) swoop in and make 100 pairs and attempt to pass them off those ‘extra’ pairs? Really - if even just 1 pair passes through the gatekeepers at StockX at that $15k asking...that manufacturer is probably walking away with $10k+ of profit EVEN if the other 99 pairs get rejected, right (I don’t totally believe that but it seems to be sneakerhead logic)? There are currently more than 40 pairs available on StockX right now with 7 having sold in the past 4 days. You don’t really believe those are all real, do you? 
 
Fake manufacturers make fakes of nearly every release under the sun and they sell everything for $140. And they’re damn near perfect. If you think for a second that there aren’t already manufacturers already creating these with buyers attempting to pass these off on StockX I can get you any pair in any size you want - just hit me with $5k… 
 
I’m almost positive that with enough research, we are going to know the sizes of each of the pairs from the giveaway. And we’re going to see pairs for sale that don’t match those sizes. Legit?
