I don’t totally know what the deal is here...but I hate this kinda stuff. I just...it just seems so fake. Like...marketplaces are being moved by these companies that are reliant on EXTREMELY fallible

I don’t totally know what the deal is here...but I hate this kinda stuff. I just...it just seems so fake. Like...marketplaces are being moved by these companies that are reliant on EXTREMELY fallible human beings. What happened to community involvement?  
 
I’ve been kind of exploring this idea lately and was hoping for some input…because if y’all answer the way I hope y’all answer, I want to work on getting it implemented... 
 
Let’s say you got a pair of whatever-the-hell is at the top your heads for a steal and you’re not 100% sure of legitimacy… 
 
Would you rather trust the decision with some random ‘authenticator’, or a group of collectors?  
 
Like...say you got results from one of these nameless, faceless ‘professional’ authenticators (such as @ebay @checkcheckapp @stockx or @goat )  
 
OR 
 
Would you rather trust a group of collectors? Let’s say 10 collectors that you’re familiar with (or had pretty significant standing in the community) and they looked at your shoes and 8 collectors said they were real and the other 2 said they were fake… 
 
Who would you rather trust when it comes to authenticating your shoes? Which result would you prefer? A ‘pass’ from checkcheck app or 80% of collectors telling you ‘legit’?
