I’ve been kinda distant from IG over the past couple of weeks as I’ve been caught up with a few things and I feel I owe y’all an explanation…    The whole Trophy Room saga had me thinking…’man, I hat

I’ve been kinda distant from IG over the past couple of weeks as I’ve been caught up with a few things and I feel I owe y’all an explanation… 
 
The whole Trophy Room saga had me thinking…’man, I hate how they can just play us like this and we just continue to take it and continue to fork over our money day in and day out for this kind of shit.’ And then I stumbled on the Carmine issue and the same feeling came up...how do we ‘break the cycle’ so many of us have just come to accept?  
 
Lemme tell ya, I don’t give a damn about those 1’s or those 6’s - especially since I’m not buying anything this year (except maybe the DQM 90’s) - but all of this stuff just makes me feel like a chump. And I know it’s stupid. I feel like a scorned ex-boyfriend or something. Like...I’ve probably dropped more than a half million dollars into Nike shoes over the years and it seems like they could absolutely give a fuck less than I exist. Again, I don’t care about the shoes...I’m just in awe that they actually pulled that whole thing off and acted like it didn’t happen. How are consumers supposed to feel knowing that regular consumers were basically just completely f*cked out of another run-of-the-mill-woefully-underproduced-sneaker and no one at JB said ANYTHING?  
 
So all of this has had me thinking…’If I had my own sneaker company, how would I do things differently? And...I wrote out this big ass manifesto. And...I shared it with some friends and some heads that are behind the scenes at some of the biggest companies we’re all beasting on and...it might be on the horizon in a couple of years...but...that’s not what I wanted to talk about right now... 
 
All of this to say - it’s had me thinking outside the box. As such...I’m rolling out this #dunkydunks set in a way unlike anything you’ve seen before...
