Homers…card number 48.
I always wanted a pair of Homers...such an obscure release for sneakers (at the time) and made no logical sense to the idea that sneakers were mainly associated with athletes (and not cartoon characters). They made me feel like I knew something that others didn’t. Who would have made the association at that time?
I guess I kinda figured I’d pull the trigger on a pair once I found a gently used pair in my size for around $100 or so...it’s funny because prices *almost* got at that low...I’m sure some were bought and sold right around that amount before @travisscott brought Dunks back from the dead, but I figured they’d go even lower.
Just pulled these out of a pack and noticed an error on the back of the card…’202 pairs’. When you are creating a card set from scratch with little help, it’s easy to make mistakes and overlook certain things...there are so many moving pieces it’s almost inevitable. That production run doesn’t make much sense and from what I understand - the amount was probably closer to 10 times that (ie: 1.5k-2k pairs produced). The only pairs that I’m confident had 202 pairs were the ‘city series’ pairs...Tokyo’s, Paris’, Londons’ and even then it’s iffy (if only production numbers could be tied to the blockchain...hmmmmmmm)
In the #824pack, I made a TON of errors. All of them on the back of the cards in the descriptions. There were plenty of people who hit me up to tell me I was wrong and I appreciated it...I even sent one dude a few packs of cards for helping out…
Anyway, #dunkydunks dropping next week!
