Taking a step away from yesterdays post - the ‘What the Pauls’ - it was an ‘unauthorized’ pair. I was told by the person who bought that he was told that these were made from excess materials from the real factory. He said ‘the only difference is the tag’.

Reading through the comments - I definitely appreciate the observations, however I think quite a few of them don’t hold much weight in my assessment. The vast majority of the comments dealt with normal inconsistencies that are going to occur with imperfect and inconsistent materials, different sized cuts, and the fact that these shoes are still assembled by hand. I’ve had PLENTY of real pairs of shoes purchased directly from Nike with several of the flaws that y’all are pointing out - I’ve had PLENTY of real pairs of Nikes with all kinds of differences on the safari and elephant print. I’ve had PLENTY of paris of real nikes with different textured leathers (Have you ever seen a leather tannery? FFS they can’t even keep the textures consistent between the right and the left shoe!). I’ve seen some pairs with lighter hole punches than others and I’ve seen embroidery COMPLETELY off centered. Just jump into just about any ‘Nike ___ enthusiasts’ group on Facebook and you’ll see all kinds of these inconsistencies. And that’s because that’s what happens when things are mass produced and everything is assembled by hand.

Like...this is a stretch...but imagine if shoes were hamburgers. Ground beef and leather - they come from the same animal. The texture of nearly every scrap of leather in the world has minor differences. If we looked at hamburgers from McDonalds through that same lens - how many would be considered fake because they weren’t of the same consistency?

The ONE tell I’ve been able to find that has proven true on SEVERAL different models that have come out over the past few months - no one has hit on it yet. And I don’t even want to disclose it here because I know I have quite a few fake manufacturers following me…y’all keep looking. Hit me in the DM’s if you want to know what it is...
