After last weeks ‘what are your most comfortable’ sneakers, it was only natural to take the conversation to the other side...what about your ‘least comfortable’ sneakers?

Air Max 95’s, 97’s and 98’s are the first on my mind. And it’s kind of shitty because I LOVE the aesthetics and own SEVERAL pairs of each, but they feel like bricks on my feet and really bunch up my toes because they’re so pointy. 98’s are actually one of my favorite models but they’re also the only pair I have that have legit blood stains (from me). Obviously, they were originally intended for running, but no serious runner wears any of these shoes any more because they’re over-engineered. They’re too much. Kinda like the car that Homer designed for his brother in the Simpsons. And Air Maxes are actually how Nike Free came about - Nike Free’s were introduced in 2005 after Nike reps observed Nike sponsored track athletes training barefoot. I heard the Nike reps gave them all types of ‘running’ footwear and they still preferred to train barefoot (LOL). True story.

As for Jordans - 3’s and 4’s could use wider toeboxes, 15’s were THE WORST, and most of the others were acceptable ImO.

Other brands - I find most reeboks to be consistent with sizing and consistently comfortable. New Balances are also pretty consistent with sizing but the comfort on their 577’s, 1300’s, and 1400’s is spotty at best (IMO - and I know that’s incredibly specific b/c they’re mostly the only NB models I check for). Adidas sizing is all over the place and some murder my feet while others are fine. Yeezy 350’s have had me nearly barefoot before (they were KILLING my feet - possibly a size too small).

Other than that...what else? What do you love the aesthetic of but hate to wear?
