I remember when these shoes came out - these were the most tone-deaf shoes for skateboarding culture at the time - they were just so goddam ugly and were nowhere near the aesthetics of what people were rockin at the time. People DESPISED these shoes and they despised everything corporate. Amazing how much things have changed…it’s almost like you’re not even a real skater without the corporate backing of Nike.
Just crazy to think - A basketball shoe changed the landscape of skating shoes forever…
