I copped this pair of @sacaiofficial x @nike vapor waffles the other day and knew I’d never in a million years buy this pair unless it was dumb cheap. Looks like the previous seller tried to dye them and they came out pretty bad. So…I paid $100 for them…a DS pair is roughly $450 on the resale sites right now so I got a bit of a steal.
Anyway, since moving to Sacramento, I’ve noticed these beautiful birds in the area that I had never seen before - my son tells me they’re called magpies and I love the colors. Black, Blue, White and Yellow (with a bit of a translucent tail). I’ve been thinking about creating of a magpie-colored shoe and I think these vapor waffles are going to be the canvas.
I’m thinking black suede and maybe a black sole wedge, blue nylon and a white swoosh, with the heel pad either yellow or that translucent color…
My dude @marrio_restores said he’d help out on the paint job. Any suggestions before we take flight? (Btw that was an awesome pun)
