There are a handful of models that I just can't get enough of.
I make up my mind, in my head, that there is simply no more room for any more pairs of XYZ, and because of the incessant release schedule behind XYZ, I almost invariably always go over my own personal limit.
Air Max 1's are the first example that comes to mind. I look at my collection of 1's and every year or so I have to scale back and sell a handful of pairs to bring my total down to a reasonable number...telling myself...every time...'I don't need any more AM1's.' And then Nike goes and drops something like the x @cncpts 'Heavy'...or the @patta_nl 'Waves' and all those promises to myself just go out the window. And not in like some spectacular fashion, either. It's more like...'oh those are nice. would one more pair of Air Max 1's really hurt? nahhhh'
Dunks were *kinda* there for me...at one point or another...but for whatever reason, I never really liked wearing dunks as much as I liked wearing AM1's.
Air Jordan 1's...another one of those models in which there seems to be no shortage of absolute BANGERS over the past few years...why must they keep droppin' these shoes that spark *something* in me that has me wanting them even though I don't *really* want them? Biohacks were my last. Then the Pine 2.0's were the last. Then the Handcrafted were my last. Will there ever *really* be a last?
Those Georgetown 1's dropping today...the colorway that makes me think of Dunk Hi's, BIG Nike's, Terminators, Pat Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, and even A.I... this is just a clean shoe.
Decidedly, I will NOT be trying for this pair. I really can't justify trying for *any (new release) pair any more...But it's not because I don't want them...it's because I know that even if I have them, I will likely never wear them.
