En route to the 1200+ authentications I went through this past month, I came across quite a few *random* Jordan Brand models that just made me wonder…

Does Michael Jordan himself know what’s actually released on a daily basis?

Has he seen every pair of ‘Jordan Brand’ sneakers that have dropped, and, if so...

...Does he have to approve each and every model and each and every colorway before it drops? Or does he have a team of assistants to do it in his place?

Some of these shoes just make no sense to me…like…some of them look like wild experiments…

I understand that takedown Jordans and these lower-tier models provide accessibility to casual consumers, but is the experimentation due to a consumer that is more open to less-conservative designs?

Or Is the experimentation due to a business that wants to try new things but is scared to?

Only a handful of *crossover* (Jordan to Nike, Nike to Jordan) models have taken shape…

Jordans make me think of ‘performance’ and ‘athletics’, so why do a large number of these releases look like they were designed for purely casual wear?

I’ve know people who have worked for Nike and JB and some of these questions have been answered for me…but I’m curious…as impactful to culture as the Jordan signature line has been, at what point do you think the experiment ends and when do they drop the reigns and begin working on a new line (and is it going to be through Lebron)?
