I remember several people getting all in their feelings about calling Black and Red Jordan XI’s ‘Breds’ and I remember dudes getting super upset at others who called OG Jordan VII’s ‘Raptors’. I don’t think it ever bothered me, but I never really referred to shoes in that way…some of you may recall that I only *recently* figured out why they called those Black and Pink Yeezy’s ‘Blinks’…lol
Anyway…for the shoe above…I get that there’s like a splash of split-pea soup green on these Jordan 8’s, but IMO this is one of the stupidest sneaker nicknames I’ve ever heard of. I’m always momentarily confused when someone refers to the ‘Pea Pod 8’s’ because my mind instinctively goes to green…not…blue and orange. It made me wonder…is there a stupider, less relevant name for a pair of shoes than ‘pea pod 8s’?
