It’s funny…sometimes I see stuff like this and I’m super interested. Like ‘what did StockX say?’ Or ‘What did Nike say?’ And other times I’m like…’man, this stuff is so stupid and childish. And why should I give a damn about what these two corporations are bickering over?’
Between clothes and shoes and pictures and cards…I probably have something like 50,000 swooshes in my house…that’s 50,000 symbols of a company that I’ve somehow sworn my undying allegiance to…and they likely don’t even know I exist…I’ve spent countless minutes, hours and dollars simply buying, selling and promoting their products and they have never, not EVER, not EVEN ONCE EVER, even acknowledged my existence (except that 30% off coupon for my birthday last year)
And this other corporation…which has proven itself to be very useful for a number of reasons (that I may or may not agree with)…is also in this nebulous space of existing as an ‘everywhere all at once’ entity yet it’s also largely unreachable when you actually need to talk to them…
Yet, I’m somehow supposed to care about the petty stuff they’re claiming against one another? I mean, for real: StockX shouldn’t be selling those stupid ‘NFTs’ (ie: digital gift cards), they do and have sold fakes before and will continue to do so until NIKE sacks up and does something a bit more drastic. Nike should work on improving their products, accessibility, and offerings.
That’s it. Anything else is just sensationalism…but…nevermind me. I’ma just go back to my corner and look for some more waffle racers.
