Non-nft folks, y'all can tune out for the day...
I...I dunno.
The *point* of Web3, at least from where I see, is to provide accessibility. There should be no bottlenecks, there should be no one entity that calls all the shots.
So when @rtfkt , a web3 company, teamed up with @nike a non-web3 company, I think a lot of us who 'bought in' were hoping the SNKRS-reliant hype cycle wouldn't spill over to NFTs.
Well, that's not what happened with their latest release.
I happened to be away from my computer when they dropped, so I missed out completely (what kind of crap is this?), but to see what people went through on the release reminded me ENTIRELY of an early SNKRS drop - 25k pfps, only 8k products, and some people waited 4+ hours to cop.
I know longtime retail rituals are sometimes hard to change, but I dropped quite a bit of dough on my #clonex , isn't that enough to warrant some type of *actual* exclusive access?
