(1/?) I’ve seen this Sole Savvy sneaker pop up a few times and I have been holding my tongue. The shoe is...I dunno. Most shoes end up growing on me, so there's no reason to assume this one wouldn't. But I know I’ve had a lot of people tell me about Sole Savvy and the ‘community’ and I just genuinely don’t understand it. Truthfully, it sounds like a corporatized NikeTalk and to me that’s like an oxymoron. IMO true ‘community’ doesn’t come with a subscription fee…even though I know a lot of people are convinced it does…again…I don’t know much about it. Nor do I care to. None of it really interests me.
BUT. In relation to our 'bored-n-ciaga' sneaker...this is where things start to get murky.
I have seen they’ve actually released a Sole Savvy phygital product…a product I actually brought up and shopped out *more than a year ago*…but it looks like they had the (financial?) resources to make it a reality. They created a digital Sole Savvy NFT that corresponds to a physical Sole Savvy sneaker. The tapped one of the most prolific sneaker designers in the game, (@gemowong ) and they contracted the same company that I contracted with the *exact same idea* for our ‘Bored Ape’ sneaker… @garrixonstudio …and when I read the article about it (you can google it), my head just about exploded.
Why was Garrixon able to complete a sneaker for Sole Savvy, but not for us?
