(7/?) Weeks went by without word and I was starting to worry. After the 6-week mark, I started asking where we were at and began hearing more and more about MOQ’s. And I kept explaining, again, that if we wanted to discuss MOQ’s, we would have went with one of the other 50 companies we talked to before them that were charging only $200 per sample…instead we paid them $3k and they were starting to act like our project was just a hassle.
They started lobbing over questions to us about how to achieve this 1 of 1 idea and, after having explained each and every one of these ideas through our designs and design meetings, I began to lose patience.
In one particularly memorable email thread, which was sent to me by Joe, I saw the internal discussion that transpired. The head of design was asking how to get all of these things done and Joe was asking me what I’d recommend. I responded with something like ‘with all due respect, we wouldn’t have paid you $3k if we were the ones were going to be solving the problems we came to you to solve.’
Joe agreed and told me he’d get back to me.
