Look…I know my experience is not everybody’s experience. I know that the way I look at the world is vastly different to how you look at the world. For some reason, people think that I speak for their view of the world when it was never my intention to do so.
So, in my view of the world - THIS card and what it represents and actually exists as - is just as cool IF NOT COOLER than owning the actual pair of shoes it was attached to. With the state of sneaker materials degradation and the physical footprint they carry, I feel like a cut of one of these shoes is a much more practical collectible than the whole damn thing.
Obviously, to others, this kind of thing is actual sacrilege. Cutting up a historical artifact (for conveniences’ sake)? Are you nuts?
There’s gotta be a cool middle ground for the vast majority of these PEs…the super duper important pairs…need to be preserved (at any cost), but is there a better way to honor these semi-important pairs than what they’ve done above?
