I know that some old heads feel the need to participate in every OG or close-to-OG release. I know that the emotional pull of such releases is too strong to beat, and that’s why a lot of respected collectors participate in every release.
For whatever reason, tho, I feel as though i take the opposite approach. I prefer a lot of these OGs to simply stay in (my) past. I could easily go the rest of my life never owning (or wearing) another pair. They had their place in my life and now it’s gone.
I’m not an idiot, tho, I recognize there are still millions of new sneakerheads and sneakerheads to be that never got their chance in the sun with these and that’s why they keep releasing…which is fine. They just ain’t for me anymore.
All that said..this is a cool reimagining imo. The leather. I never really liked nubuck to begin with, so I kinda wish we could turn back time and release these as the OG…
