First it was Salomon…I’ve been familiar with this style of outdoor shoes for a while (as I grew up in the mountains), but I never thought people in NY and other cities would be paying attention..
Saw the top shoe the other day at my local (mountain) thrift and would have copped WITHOUT HESITATION if they were my size (they weren’t). Was shocked to see the brand - Shimano - a biking brand (that I admittedly don’t know shit about)…
Any chance Shimano (or any one of these other outdoor brands like Merrell) could follow a similar ‘cool’ arc as Salomon? Or was that a once in a product line opportunity?
