I’ve been saying this for the past few years and lll continue saying it as long as it’s true: it’s a good time to be into shoes if you have a genuine interest in shoes.
Although I’ve certainly made money buying and selling shoes throughout the years (like $20 here, $20 there), I’ve never been all that good at turning my interest in sneakers into a Rolex…
So these reimagined 1’s - the context is that there are people who want money and clout and there are people who just want cool shoes. If you want money and clout, these shoes might not be for you. But if you just genuinely like these shoes - this is a perfect situation (they’ve hit BELOW retail on the day they released). That’s not to say they’re gonna stay low…I bet they won’t (but what do I know).
The cool thing about collecting - you never know what’s gonna be worth something in a few years. And the cool thing about just liking sneakers - who cares what they’re worth if you like them?
