Sole swap #2…
Picked up these old 1995 ACG hiking boots a couple of years ago for $10 at a thrift shop and, surprisingly, they held up well through several actual hikes…last hike I took them on I noticed the sole separation and kept them around for a bit trying to decide what to do.
The NSW Gaiter boots, one of 3 I owned, I won off shopgoodwill. When I got them in, I found that the zipper was broken and unrepairable. Took me a while to decide what to do with them…
They didn’t line up perfectly and I was worried they were going to be a bit of a mismatch, but when I sent them to @sailboatsupplies they looked perfect as a finished product.
I’ve already worn these on a hike, too, and I’ve gotta say that I prefer the new sole - it’s slightly cushier and takes a bit more area (so less likely I’m gonna roll my ankles 😂)
