A lot of chitter chatter on the TL about these Devin Booker 1’s… not totally sure what to think and that’s mostly why I stay away from the discussion.
Before shoes, I used to pine for early leaks of hip hop albums I knew were set to drop and I’d go out of my way to listen to shitty versions before I understood that those shitty versions really just ruined the fully realized *officially released version for me.
There have been a million times when I’ve seen a shoe online and thought ‘meh’ and when I saw it in person I’ve thought ‘well damn I think I can pull this off’ and sure enough that’s like real life. Anyone that knows anything about shoes knows that they don’t know shit until they’ve got an actual shoe in front of them. So the whole ‘early pics’ thing for me is just…eh…until I can see them in person.
Even more times when I saw something in person that I liked that I hadn’t even considered online…
I guess, what I’m trying to say…I think the element of surprise (especially with new models) still exists for me. And it always will. And I’d prefer to withhold any judgement before actually seeing the shoe in hand…
