Copped these Trainer III ‘USA’ on super steal the other day and gotta say they did a pretty good job with quality control on these…I bet the majority of these would grade high. There’s really only really two types of minor flaws on this pair, one of which is super common (and entirely expected) whenever I see a plastic cage component...Surprisingly, the glue stains aren’t really bad around the cage. There’s really only really two types of minor flaws on this pair, one of which is super common (and entirely expected) whenever I see a plastic cage component...Surprisingly, the glue stains aren’t really bad around the cage. It’s the tooling.

Second flaw...I call it ‘negligent paint’. I used to be a painter in a past life (my best friend growing up had his own painting business so we used to knock out homes all summer long) so I tend to pay very close attention to this. You can see the subtle shaky strokes on the heel of the left shoe.

Nothing major, here. Most likely a 9-9.5 based on the flaws pictured (plus a couple I didn’t take pics of), but overall a really well put together shoe.
