I’ve seen a lot of serious sneakerheads say they love the Harden 8.
I’ve seen far more casual AND serious sneakerheads absolutely fall in love with the AE1.
I’ve seen not a single person say they like the upcoming AE2 (which isn’t necessarily a bad sign), but it makes me wonder…will Ants shoes succeed simply because he’s Ant and will Hardens not get the shine they deserve simply because he’s unlikeable?
Being that Ant is one of the most beloved players in the league and Harden is one of the most hated…would the Harden 8 AS AN ANT SHOE go down as far more popular? The Harden 8, imo, looks better than the AE1, IMO, and leaps and bounds beyond the AE2. But no one seems to be losing their minds over it.
Maybe the wording wasn’t so great on that question - lemme try it again - does Ants personality make his shoes better simply because of his likability? And is the opposite effect true with Harden?
Makes me think of Kobe, too, because before he passed, people hated (but still respected) him and despite that, his shoes were still very popular. (That sentence gonna ruffle a few feathers I’m sure)…but what do you think?
