Seems like no one is really talking about Air Max Day, yet. Amirite?
So I’ve been working on trying to re-promote the Air Max Pax for Air Max Day this year, but for whatever reason, I haven’t really been seeing all that much content *about* Air Max Day.
Some of y’all know…me and @sonsofblackmaria (amongst others) put a shitload of effort into that set and damn near broke our backs trying to make sure everything worked out and we still ended up missing (last) Air Max Day by 4 goddam months. I dunno…although I’m proud we pulled it off, it just never really *took off* like we hoped it would. I mean, it seems like people really like them when they have them in hand, I get all kinds of comments from people who come across a card or two and they talk about how great they came out, but I think people just get overwhelmed with the amount of information.
As a savant (yes, goddamit, I’m the motherflarkin savant), these sets aren’t even enough for me. I need more. I need it all. I want a set with each and every air max ever created. Cuz that’s how I am. I’m obsessed. But for the regular person who buys these things, I think it just might be a tad overwhelming.
So…as such, I’m going to try something different.
For this Air Max day, we’re going to try something different. You can still buy the Air Max Pax if you want, but I’m still working hard to provide a little something extra. It’s kinda why I been absent for a few days.
Now, because one of the cornerstones of my collection is the original pair of Air Max 1’s that I found in Hawaii (I’ve told this story 100 times), @byshoef , @sonsofblackmaria and I are building a few handmade special editions of card number 4…Let’s see how it goes!
