I was just presented with a conundrum.
Been looking for a pair of these for a reasonable price for the better part of 20 years. And nothing really seems reasonable anymore.
Although, I recently came across a pair at a second hand store out in _______. But they are dogged. Absolutely dogged. Like more dogged than any other pair I’ve ever owned. I’m talking ripped inner lining, heel drag to the bone. Cracked leather. Sole separation.
The price…was reasonable. More reasonable than if I saw them at a sneakercon or whatever. But not reasonable enough for me to even try on and consider.
But it made me think…what at price would I have been willing to pay? What price would be willing to pay for a grail beat to hell?
