Copped these adidas Boston 11’s the other day based off vibes alone and didn’t realize they had aftermarket laces.
The red and white checkered laces were (likely) what caught my eye in the first place so was kinda shocked to see the official photos with them…made me think…these red and white checkered laces made these shoes an automatic 3x in my head… I don’t think I would have even considered them if they were laces with just white laces.
I know, at least a few years ago, there were actual shops that sold nothing but laces and I always thought that was so silly (like how many laces you gotta sell to cover $10k+ rent for a storefront), but I’m starting to come around. I know some dudes pay a lot of attention to the laces (that was like the only way you could customize your shoes 20+ years ago), but I’m starting to feel like a simple lace swap can exponentially better a shoe.
Got any other suggestions?
