(1/3) The Jordan 1 Royal retro from 2017 was an interesting shoe. I saw a few pairs and noticed something strange...It appeared that the leather on the toe box of one of the shoes was far more ‘plastic-y’ than the leather on the other shoe, which was more pebbled. I remember seeing a tweet from @matthalfhill (the founder of @nicekicks) at the time saying that every pair he saw had the same issue. I took a look at a few more pairs just the other day and came across quite a few with the same issue: definitely different leather textures. Personally, not much bothers me when it comes to production flaws, but vastly different leather on each shoe would bother me...especially at the current market price of $320 (in my size). What would a perfectionist collector pay for a pair with matching (pebbled or plastic-y) leather? . . . . . . . #jordan #jordans #jordan1s #jordan1royal #jordansdaily #thesneakersavant #thesneakersavantremembers #shoemetrics #shoemetricsflaws #gradedgoesformore #qualityoverquantity #pebbledleather #softleather #stockx #nicekicks
